EO NEXT* (formally known as the EO US Central Bridge Chapter) is part of EO’s Bridge product. As of August 2023, there are 6 Bridge Chapters around the world and any member of EO has access to joining a Bridge Chapter. EO NEXT*’s target audience is the experienced, seasoned EO member who have higher-than-normal business revenues and/or are looking for what’s next in their entrepreneurial journey. EO members can add EO NEXT* as a secondary chapter or join EO NEXT* as their primary chapter. Members that are the best “fit” have been moderator trained, have businesses at $3MM+ revenue, have an unquenchable desire to learn, and have actively engaged in external learning programs beyond their local EO chapter (RLA, EMP, London Business School, etc).
Our “dues” look a little different. Annually, each member pays an amount of $4,800 USD. This includes $1,800 towards Chapter dues (administration, subscription fees, etc) and 2 Retreat Credits of $1,500 each. The retreat credits are specifically allocated for use in two separate retreats of your choosing and cannot be combined for a single event. Members must use these credits within the given fiscal year. Any unused credits by the end of the year will be forfeited without the possibility of a refund. All retreat experiences and programming will have a value of $1,500 or more. If a given retreat costs greater than $1,500, the individual member will be responsible for paying the difference once a credit has been applied. Credits do not include airfare, hotel, and travel. Credits cannot be used for SLPs and cannot be transferred to a different member.
Members pay for 2 Retreat Credits upon joining, so we ask that all members attend a minimum of 2 events a year.
In terms of forum types/meeting schedules, there are a few options:
- Your entire Forum moves from your local chapter to EONEXT. In this scenario, these forums typically meet monthly and do additional forum meetings at retreats.
- You get placed into an EO NEXT* forum. In this scenario, you will share what you’re looking for during the application process and our Forum Chair will help place you.
- You can stay at large and solely participate in the Forum Mashup during retreats.
If you are joining an existing EO NEXT* forum, they all have different meeting cadences and rules. Some meet solely at retreats 1x per quarter, others meet virtually every month AND in-person at retreats, etc.
Yes! You are able to register your SLP to attend Chapter Retreats! SLPs are invited to participate in any and all activities, aside from Forum / Forum Mashup.
Yes, non-EO NEXT* members can attend events at the guest rate, if availability permits. Such guests will be screened by our membership chair / members of the Board to ensure that they meet the expectations that EO NEXT* has intentionally curated.
$3MM+ in revenue annually, 5+ years in EO, served on local Chapter’s Board, Moderator trained, has engaged in external learning (EMP, LBS, Sydney University, etc), engagement and participation on social platforms and in-person at retreats, sufficient business complexity.
EO NEXT* has 65 members, all scattered across the United States, with some even beyond that! Namely, Canada, Australia, Costa Rica, and Sri Lanka. Some of our most represented cities in terms of membership are Washington DC, Chicago, and Los Angeles/Orange County, but there are many from beyond those areas as well!
Some of the industries represented in our chapter are: special events, staffing/recruitment, business education, wealth management/financial services, transportation, digital marketing/social media, sports and entertainment, manufacturing, software, construction, SaaS, and food/beverage/restaurants/bars.
Looking at the numbers, we have about 55% of members owning businesses of $2MM to $15MM, and ~45% owning businesses of $16MM to $110MM.
Most members are located across the US (Central, East Coast, and West Coast) but we have a handful of members in Canada, Australia, Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, and expanding.
Currently 65 members as of April 2024.
Here are the steps to follow:
- You express interest or were referred from a member.
- You meet with the membership chair and go through the standard interview process.
- Afterwards the membership chair will tell you you’re approved or give reasons why you were not.
- If approved, you will be sent to our Chapter Manager for income verification and application form.
- Once you have filled out the application, and you had your CPA/Bookkeeper verify your revenue, you are tentatively approved.
- We send your bio and pic out to the Chapter for a vote. This is done 1 – 2x a month and we give 48 hours for anyone to say if they have an issue with you joining the chapter.
- If there is an issue we discuss it privately with involved parties to see if we can resolve it.
- Assuming we have moved forward, CONGRATULATIONS!! You are an EO Next* member.
Yes! Many of our members are dual members, meaning they are formally members of their local Chapter and EO NEXT*. Dual members pay dues for both Chapters.
